Mile Markers
(Updates From The Road)

Mile Marker: December 15, 2009 (From Davy)

Wow!  What a trip.  Praise God for his protection and his help during our 16 day trip to Nigeria, Africa.  God is so good.  I wish there was some way I could convey to you the spiritual blessing we receive each time we are privileged to fellowship with our brethren in Nigeria.  The personal prayer time that we experienced with Bro. Shobanke and others was almost worth the trip itself.  Add to that the fellowship, the Gospel Crusades, the Minister's Conferences and the tremendous altar services, it becomes more than I can describe.  Thank God for the privilege to carry the Gospel of Christ to such precious people.  I marvel at the fact that God allows our family to be involved in such divine business.  Praise God for His blessings.
We appreciate Bro. Shobanke and all the brethren in Nigeria for putting together all the meetings there.  These are wonderful men that I wish each of you could meet.  Pray that God will continue to bless their works for Him.
We were able to keep folks updated on the trip on http://www.boggsblogs.com by emailing the updates from our phones.  In fact it worked so well we are going to continue using that for our regular Mile Marker updates.  We are able to add photos and to update much more often than we can using our computer, especially since we often go days and weeks without internet service in our travels.  Anyway, we will try it for a while and if it works we will make it a permanent thing.  We will not send out an email each time we post on http://www.boggsblogs.com but if you join there as a follower I think you have the option to be notified with each update.  We will continue to send out an email update when we post pictures on davykellyandodie.com and make other changes.
Speaking of pictures, we have bunches of pictures from Nigeria and we added four sets today.  The others will be added over the next week or so.  Please look at the pictures and let us know what you think.  I wish we could capture the reality of Nigeria in a picture but at least they give you an idea of what it is like.  We hope you enjoy.
   God bless you every one.

Mile Marker: November 25, 2009 (From Davy)

Today is the big day. We leave from Dayton, OH airport around 7:00 PM, leave Atlanta around 11:15 PM and land in Lagos, Nigeria around 4:30 PM on Thursday. Everything is packed and ready to transport to the airport. We are pretty excited to get underway. I can't say that I am ever really excited about a long flight but it's pretty hard to get to Africa without a long flight. Can't wait to see all our Brothers and Sisters we met last time and to meet some new folks. If all goes as planned we should get a chance to catch our breath before we start the meetings. We will arrive in Abeokuta late Thursday and don't have any meetings scheduled until Sunday Morning. That should allow us to rest and adjust to the time change a little better than we did last time.
We sure do appreciate all that have offered to pray for us while we are gone. Please pray for our safety while traveling and while in Nigeria. But most importantly pray that God will use us and prepare the hearts of the people we will be preaching to. We certainly want to be effective for the cause of Christ in Nigeria.
We hope to post updates while we are gone but all of that depends on internet service. We plan to leave Nigeria late at night on December 10th and should arrive back in Dayton that day.
Thanks again for your prayers and may God bless each of you. Davy

We are in the final stages of preparations for our Mission trip to Nigeria. Kelly Jo and Odie are doing the necessary shopping in order to pull everything together for the trip and soon the packing will begin. We will arrive home from Goshen, IN the night of the 22nd, pull it all together and fly out Wednesday the 25th. We should land in Lagos, Nigeria the next day. Bro. Shobanke will meet us at the airport and we will go by car to Abeokuta, Ogun State that evening. We plan to start the meetings there on Sunday. We will have a Minister's Conference during the day and a Gospel Crusade at night. The next week we will move to Ibadan, Oyo State and do it all over again. We are looking forward to seeing the many friends we made last time and making many more. Please pray for our effectiveness in Nigeria.

We are trying to figure out a way to keep everyone up to date while we are in Nigeria. We are not taking a computer with us for various reasons so we can't update the website like we normally would. We have opened a page at blogger.com so we can add updates from any internet enabled computer or even with email from our phones (if we have service). We will link to it from the front page of our website and from the Mile Marker page but we may not have a way to let you know it has been updated while we are out of the country. We will update as often as possible would love to hear from you as well. Please leave a comment and if we have internet service like we did last time we will publish the comments as well.
The direct link to the blog page is

Notice boggsblogs is plural. "s" on the end of boggs and blogs.
Thanks and God Bless,    Davy, Kelly and Odie

Mile Marker: November 5th, 2009

Hello from Jonesboro, Illinois!  We are here at Trinity Pentecostal Tabernacle with Pastor Geoff Bond.  We are homeless for a few days this week.  The BoggsMobile is in Nashville getting some work done.  Our home is desperately missed!!!!!  Thank you to Bro. Geoff and the church for allowing us to stay in the evangelist quarters.  Thanks very much for not making me sleep outside!!!!! (Inside joke)  We greatly appreciate your hospitality!
Last week was a wonderful week with our friends at Beechfork Holiness Church.  Pastor Herman Woods and the congregation always go out of their way to make us feel at home!  We love you all very much Thank you so much for your friendship over the many years!!
I owe Bro. Herman and the church a huge thank you for remembering my birthday!!  Thank you for the party, cards and offering!!!!  Your kindness to me is overwhelming!!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!  Many people over the last month did special things for me for my birthday, including the Bethany Church in Sand Springs where I actually was on my Birthday and the Trinity Church in Hazard, KY.  Thanks again to all of you for your thoughtfulness!!!!!
We have been blessed to see a beautiful fall this year!   Kentucky and Tennessee both were vibrant with color!  Saturday night on the way to church the sun was shining on the beautiful mountains full of color, and then a rainbow came out too.  It was an awesome sight!!  Everyday God seemed to be at work painting things brighter and better!
Also last week we were privileged to have Dad’s parent visit us for a couple days in Tennessee!!  It is always a pleasure to see and to spend time with my Mamaw and Papaw.  Thank you for making time to come see us!
Dad has added a bunch of Pictures to the website today.  Make sure you have a peek before you go and let us know what you think.
Well I am starting to ramble now so I will close now.  Keep us in your prayers we leave November 25th for Nigeria.  Have a great day!
Odie

Mile Marker: October 16th, 2009

Hey folks!  I trust all is going well with you!  We are doing good.  God has been so good to us. We have a lot to be thankful for.
The road under the BoggsMobile’s wheels has been hot lately.  Indiana, Kentucky, Alabama, Kentucky and Oklahoma have been our landing spots the last few weeks.  We started October in Alabama.  We were finishing the Homcoming revival for The Apostle Donnie Willimason and the  Tanner Williams Holiness Church.  We had a great time.
Then we were off to Bond Campmeeting in Kentucky.  It was so great to be with Pastor John Gabbard and our wonderful friends of the Bond Holiness Church.  Our pastor, Bro. Bennie Sutherland, preached AWESOME the three nights we were there to hear him!  It was just good to be in campmeeting for a few days.  We needed the encouragement!
Sand Springs, Oklahoma is where we then journeyed.  God came by and visited us in a special way at Bethany Holiness Church!  We greatly enjoyed our time with Pastor Darrell Toliver and congregation.  Thank you for the warm welcome!
   Thank you to Bro. Jeff
Armbrister and everyone who works in the Sunday morning outreach service.  We were blessed to be in the service with you all!  Please keep up the good work reaching out to hurting of this world.  It is amazing what the Lord is doing through your efforts!
The Toliver Trio, Brittany Adrianne and Brooklyn from Bethany Holiness, have just released their debute project.  "Stand and Testify" was produced by Ben Isaacs.  These girls are awesome and they are anointed!!  I highly recommend you add this project to your collection.  You will be blessed!  You  can contact them at thetolivertrio@yahoo.com.

Currently we are here at Mt. Vernon Holiness Church in Oklahoma City.  Their fellowship meeting runs through Sunday morning.  Pastor Rickey Searcy along with our family would be happy to have you join us!
The pieces are falling in place for upcoming missions trip to Nigeria.  God is truly working things out for us!  Maybe Dad will give you more details later.  Please continue to keep us in your prayers!!  We need lots of them!!!
Odie

Mile Marker: August 25, 2009 (From Davy)

We just came out of the Fellowship Meeting at our home church and it was Awesome!  Bro. Dwain Galiher preached the 10:00am service and Bro. Kevin Webster preached the nights.  They both preached the Word and the Word blessed us and challenged us. Several others preached in the afternoon and youth services and it was all good.  Several sinners and backsliders prayed and many saints were in the altars as well receiving help from the Lord.
I know it was a great time of encouragement for our family.  In fact just being at home church for a few days was very refreshing.  It is so great to have a good home church that prays for us while we are away preaching and then welcomes us with open arms when we are home.  May God bless the folks at Dryden Rd.
The week before Dryden Rd. meeting we were in Salem, KY at Faith Church with Pastor Philip Sanders.  Bro. Sanders has a great church and a wonderful family.  We experienced a powerful move of God in the services there and had great fellowship on top of it.  Saturday night and Sunday morning God really came down close to us and there is no telling yet all the ways He blessed and touched.  Our God is amazing.
Speaking of great services, we began revival in Central City, KY yesterday with Homecoming.  Pastor Alan Harris and his church are ready for revival and things got cranked up in a hurry!  We started with two tremendous services.  I'm sure Odie will give you an update later.
Where is Odie?  Well, her computer got the "blue screen of death" a few weeks ago and my brother Steve worked on it for hours.  Its future does not look good.  She is trying to decide whether to invest more time and money into it or bite the bullet and buy another computer.  Her laptop is over six years old and everybody says its time to retire it but it just seems like you ought to get more use out of these things for the money you pay.  Well that's what's up with Odie.  If she writes a Mile Marker in the next little while she will have to type it on my computer.  She doesn't care for that very much but she will get over it.
   God bless you all....   Davy

Mile Marker: August 11th, 2009

Hello from the beautiful state of Kentucky. We have been in eastern Kentucky since Friday and it has been beautiful. Hot but nice. We got to see a lot of my Dad’s family as we sang, fellowshipped and ate the last three or four days.
The last three weeks we have been in Virginia. Last week we were in revival in Bristow, Virginia at Bristow Assembly. It is wonderful to finally get better acquainted with Pastor Ken Taylor. We met several years ago in California but our paths never seemed to make it to Virginia. The revival services were really great and the people were great as well. Benji and Laura Burris from Atwater, California were at Bristow last week too. Sis. Laura is the only daughter of the Taylors and they were as glad to have them as we were. We love Benji and Laura and their three precious children, Savannah, Constance and Clayton.
We spent nearly two weeks in Elkton, Virginia. We were in revival over a week with our friends at Sandy Bottom Holiness Church. God met us there with the sweetness of his presence every service! It was a revival for everyone! Thank you again to Pastor Buzzy Deane for all your hospitality to our family! We love you all!!!
”Doctor Phil” and “Deacon Eddie” Deane gave the BoggsMobile a completely new look that week too. We said goodbye to the carpet that was on the floor. It had a long life of nearly 14 years. We now have beautiful engineered hardwood throughout the BoggsMobile. Wow! “WOW AGAIN!” It is so gorgeous! Thank you to the Doctor and Deacon for all your labor!! We were AWESOMIZED to have you lay the flooring!!!
We appreciate the Bible Holiness Church in Elkton and their new Pastor Matt Homer for allowing us to park the BoggsMobile at their church while it was being worked on. Thank you so much for your hospitality. God bless you.
My cousin Deidre has been on the road with us again this summer. She just finished up her three week stay with us on Sunday. I love having her with us. She always gives us something to laugh about! I hope she has had as much fun as I have had. She also helps me very much with all my day to day things. Thanks Deidre. I love you!
Another highlight of the last few weeks is that we got the chance visit Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. It was neat to see all the history! We took a two hour bus tour of the battle field, toured the museum and saw where President Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address. I am very glad we were able to spend part of a day there although it commemorates a very sad time in the history of our nation.
We are looking forward to seeing our friends and family next week at campmeeting at home.  Hope you can come!  God bless you..  Odie

Mile Marker: July 24, 2008 (From Davy)

Just a quick word to let every one know we are doing well.  We are in Virginia for a few weeks and the weather and mountains are beautiful. Right now we are in revival at Sandy Bottom Holiness Church near Elkton and it seems we are off to a good start.  We have very little internet service so Odie will have to update you on all the happenings a little later.
Dryden Rd. Campmeeting is coming up soon and we are looking forward to being home for that.  Make plans to go to Dayton for the meeting if you can.  I know you will be blessed!  Thanks for all the prayers!
Davy

Mile Marker: July 7th, 2009

Dad told you the other day that we did not have good internet signal last week. It took me at least 30 minutes to check my emails. Despite the lack of internet signal and very little phone service we had a great time in Reeds Spring, Missouri! Thank you to Pastor Kurt McCrorey and everyone at Allen Pentecostal church for your hospitality to us.
Last week had a couple of special days in it for our family. June 29th, was my parents wedding anniversary. Congratulations Mom and Dad! I love you very much! Friday, July 3rd was Mom’s 41st birthday. Happy Birthday, Mom!!! While I’m on the birthday subject, Happy Birthday to my Uncle Luke Evans! Uncle Luke, have a wonderful birthday on Wednesday. We love you!!
We were in service Sunday morning at Faith Pentecostal Church. God came by and visited us! The Faith and Freedom Celebration was Sunday evening. Thankfully the rain held off. The weather was great for an outdoor event in July. In fact, it was actually little chilly. Pastor Philip Sanders and the congregation at Faith Pentecostal Church prepare all year for the Faith and Freedom Celebration. It is a wonderful outreach to the community. We were just happy and privileged to be a part of it this year. Thank you to Bro. Sanders for inviting us!
The meal that afternoon was a huge fish fry. The fish and all the trimmings were very good. Dad really loved it although he had to restrain himself some since we had to sing after the food. For dessert they served home made ice cream. I don’t know all the kinds they had, but I enjoyed the Rocky Road!
The church folks put on a special program with 100 flags. It was amazing. Then came the Fireworks!  They were awesome! Bro. Israel Sanders, Bro. Jared Sanders and whoever else that helped with the fireworks, thank you for a great show!
We are now at Southside Holiness Church in Paducah, Kentucky. This is our first time to be here with Pastor Noah Martinez. We had a good first night with lots of fellowship and a good altar service. I will let you know how the week unfolds later.    Odie

Mile Marker: July 5, 2009 (From Davy)

Hope every one had a great 4th of July!  We traveled most of the day and everything went very smooth.  We were supposed to be in Salem, KY for their Faith and Freedom Celebration yesterday but they had to postpone the activities because of bad weather. That gave us a little more time to travel and we pulled in here last night.  We are having church here this morning and then the Faith and Freedom Celebration will begin this afternoon.  Bro. Sanders and his church really go all out so we are looking forward to being a part of it.  I am thankful we live in a country that is relatively free and I am praying that it stays that way.  Things are rapidly changing around the world and our nation is leading the way.  May God help us in the coming months and years.
We were at Allen Church near Reeds Spring, Missouri last week and had a great time there.  We met Bro. Kurt McCrorey several years ago while we were living in Wichita and instantly fell in love with his family and his home church there at Allen.  The folks are fine people and we love being with them.  Bro. Kurt is now the Pastor and has been for a few years.  We love going back each year and in fact we try to slip in every little chance we get.  If you are ever near Springfield or Branson, look them up.  You will find some great people with a heart for God!
I need to mention that the Family Camp we were scheduled to preach July 21-23 in West Virginia has been cancelled.  Some obstacles arose with the camp they rent that could not be overcome so they will not be having camp this year.  I wanted to let everyone know in case you were making plans to attend.
Odie has been quiet the last several days because our internet service has been pretty much non existent.  I am sure you will hear from her this week some time.  God bless you all!   Davy

Mile Marker: June 21st, 2009

Happy Fathers Day!!!!!!!! I am thankful for my wonderful Father! I love my big teddy bear of a daddy. Dad, I love you more than a hog loves slop! I am also blessed with two wonderful Papaw’s Eugene Boggs and Danny Morgan. I love you both so very much!!
Revival finished Friday night at Landmark Holiness Church. We had a wonderful week with Pastor Brandon Murray and congregation. They are doing a great work reaching out to the hurting people of Lawton, Oklahoma. They bring men from a Department of Corrections Work Center and the homeless to church. It was so rewarding ministering to those who need God so desperately Thank you to Bro. Brandon, Sis. Hailey and all of Landmark for your hospitality! We enjoyed our stay with you all! Keep up the good work!!
We made the four hour journey to Wichita, Kansas Friday night. Saturday was the commencement exercises for the 2009 graduating class of Great Plains Bible College. Dad gave the commencement address to the graduates! I must say I thought He did a great job. Congratulations to Sis. Dianne Southern, Sis. Leah Underhill and Bro. Tom Pease on the accomplishment!! They worked hard for two years for this exciting day.
Revival starts today at Bethany Revival Center. We always have a wonderful time with Bro. And Sis. DiZazzo I will update later you on the events of the week.     Odie

Mile Marker: June 16th, 2009

As Dad told you last time we are in Lawton, Oklahoma this week. We are excited about what this week holds. We were here for a one night visit back in the winter. It was so cold then!  Now it has flip-flopped to very hot.
Campmeeting was so awesome last week. God is so wonderful! It still amazes me that He can minister to each person in a special way. I can not describe the help I received. The fellowship with all our friends was also wonderful. We had a great week!!
The singing at the Bristow Church Friday night was great. The weather cooperated and we had a beautiful evening for the singing. Thanks to Pastor Douglas Meadow and everyone in charge of the event. His Image, Trinity Trio and The Toliver Trio also sang. They all did an outstanding job!! I was glad we got to be there just to hear them sing.
We owe a HUGE thank you to Bro. Douglas Meadow and Bro. Michael Touchton for helping us on bass and drums! You did a great job! Thanks also to my friend Brentni for helping with the cd table, taking pictures and everything else she helped do.
Saturday we moved the short distance to Sand Springs, Oklahoma. After getting the BoggsMobile set up we met Sally Holm for dinner. Sally and I have been friends since we were little girls, back in the snail-mail days. She invited us to see where she lived and eat ice cream at her house. We had a good time visiting with her!
Both services Sunday we were at Amazing Grace Holiness Church with Pastor Wayne Holcomb! God gave us some good altar services! It was good to see the people getting help! That’s it for now… Odie

Mile Marker: June 12, 2009 (From Davy)

Bristow Campmeeting was tremendous.  The preaching was great and so was the music, altar services, fellowship and food.  We are not able to attend Bristow every year but we always look forward to the times we can be a part of the meeting. We were certainly blessed to be there this year.  It was a great encouragement to our family.  I appreciate the churches in this area and the men who serve on the Campmeeting board and make the Bristow meeting possible.
Tonight we are singing at the Bristow Holiness Church.  They are having an outdoor singing (If the thunderstorms cooperate) and they have invited us to be here along with other families and groups.  We love the opportunity to take the gospel outside every chance we get.  I am sure Odie well let you know how it goes.
We have had some schedule changes the last few days.  It seems that happens every time we put out a Newsletter.  I guess God probably gets a kick out of our attempt to make plans sometimes.  Thank God He is in control and not me.  Sunday the 14th we are planning to be in Sand Springs, Oklahoma at Amazing Grace Holiness Church for both services.  Bro. Wayne Holcomb is the fine Pastor there and we a looking forward to a great day.  Monday through Friday we are planning to preach revival for Pastor Brandon Murray in Lawton, Oklahoma.  It is always exciting around Bro. Brandon so we are sure to enjoy that week as well.
We have had some other changes as well so be sure and check out our schedule here on the website before you travel a long distance only to find us gone!  That would be baaaaaaad!
Today is a special day in my family.  My Father and Mother have been married 46 yeas today.  Happy Anniversary to Eugene and Martha Boggs.  God bless you Papa Bear and Mama Bear!  We sure do love and miss you!
Be sure and check out the new Pictures we added the first of the week and let us know what you think.  Also I added our current Newsletter today.
Well, that's about all the new for now.  God bless you every one!     Davy

Mile Marker: June 7, 2009

We left Arizona yesterday and drove all the way to Amarillo, Texas.  Whew, what a long drive.  We went to bed early and had a good nights rest. We found a church to go to this morning and we are resting this evening. (A lot of churches have no Sunday night service any more and we are to far from any churches we know about.)  We will pull out of here tomorrow and plan to be at Bristow Campmeeting this week.  If you are any where near Bristow, I am sure you would enjoy the meeting.  It ends Thursday and we will be singing at the Bristow Church Friday night.  It is an outdoor singing so come and be with us if you can.
We added a whole bunch of new pictures this weekend as well.  Check them out and let us know what you think.  Hope you all are doing well.   Odie

Mile Marker: June 2nd, 2009

We finally made it to Arizona. It was a long trip! We left out of California late Friday night. While traveling down the road we heard a strange noise and a passing car beeped to let us know we had problems. Thankfully we could safely pull to the side of the road. Dad went out to find we had lost a tire off our jeep! There was only a little bit of rubber left on the ruined rim. So we spent the next hour plus on the side of the road. Dad and Mom got the doughnut tire on the jeep and we limped on into a town. We parked in a tire store parking lot for a couple hours until the store opened. We got the new tire and rim and were back on the road. In total we lost around eight hours. But I thank God for protecting us!!!
Due to the set back in time and Dad’s lack of sleep we did not make it all the way to our destination on Saturday. Thanks to Pastor Jimmy Munoz for understanding our dilemma. We pulled in to Desert Cove Sunday afternoon and set up for revival to begin Sunday night.  Revival got off to a good start and we are expecting God to do great thing in El Mirage, Arizona this week.
Let me back up to Thursday night. Thanks to Pastor Kenny McMillan for inviting us to Armona, California. We enjoyed being with the folks at Central Assembly!
Friday night we got to attend the 2009 graduation for Riverdale Christian Academy. It was an awesome service! Everyone did a wonderful job! Congratulations to all of the 8th grade and senior graduates!!!!
I want to once again thank Bro. and Sis. Spencer for all they did for us. We tremendously enjoyed being with you! I want to especially thank all of you for making us feel at home. We love, appreciate and miss you!
I have a funny story to share with you. It happened the last night of revival at Riverdale. A piece of info you need to know; I am SUPER jumpy. It doesn’t take much to startle me at all. We were singing “I Don’t Have A Prayer Without You”. I was sitting in my power wheelchair on the edge of my seat on the platform. I was fixing to start the second verse of the song. All of the sudden there was a huge POP. I came near to jumping off the platform!! It was so funny!! The song had to stop as I along with a few hundred people were laughing uncontrollably!!! It was quite a scene!
Well better close for now. I need to work on my newsletter. Odie

Mile Marker: May 29th, 2009

Hello, one final time from the beautiful state of California. It is so hard to believe it is time for us to start saying goodbye out here and head to Arizona. It seems like yesterday I was counting the days until this trip. It has been very busy. We have had 24 services in 22 days so far, but we have definitely enjoyed ourselves! Let me backtrack some days and catch you up.
My last update was from Atwater, California. We stayed at Amazing Grace Tabernacle a total of eleven services. It was a refreshing revival. No two services were alike but they all were good! Oh my we had a hard time packing up and leaving Pastor Jared Burris and the folks at Amazing Grace! Bro. Jared and all of his family have become like our family over the years. Thank you all for everything!! We love you all more than you words!!! Thanks for all the “fabbi” food! It helped to make us more “flabby” LOL! We enjoyed every bite of it!!
When the BoggsMobile finally hit the road we journeyed to Riverdale, California. We had the great privilege to be in four services at Riverdale Assembly plus the last chapel service of the year for Riverdale Christian Academy. It is exciting to see what God is doing here. They have a been working hard the last four years and the end of the church building project is in sight. The church is totally out of this world beautiful!! Maybe we can get some pictures up soon.
Thank you to Pastor Charles Spencer and the entire congregation for everything! Your kindness to our family is overwhelming! We are thankful for your friendship!! We have enjoyed the services and the fellowship very much.
We had no church on Memorial day so we took advantage of it by visiting the Sequoia National Park. All the beauty was so amazing! We had been to Sequoia a long time ago but had only seen a portion of the park. This time we spent most of the day driving around and enjoying the view. The Giant Sequoias are awesome! God’s creativity never ceases to amaze me!!
I hope you are enjoying the pictures Dad added recently. I must apologize to the folks in Thomasville, Georgia and Pine Prairie, Louisiana. I somehow deleted all the pictures from our visit with you!! I don’t know how it happened! I really think some of you hacked into my computer, because you did not want to be on the website LOL!! Please forgive me for my blunder. I had some great pictures that were lost.
Finally, today I want to wish my Papaw Eugene Boggs a very happy birthday!! We love you so very much!! Thank you for all you do to help us!! Thank you for always being there! I thank God for my Papaw! God has been merciful to our family and let us keep him on earth with us! We love you.   Odie

Mile Marker: May 19th, 2009

Hello from sunny, hot California. We are having a wonderful time!! Our revival at Faith Chapel in Stockton, California ended on Sunday night. We a had good time with Pastor Michael Brandon and family. Thank you all for once again opening the doors of Faith Chapel to us! Keep up the good work!
Tuesday night we kicked off revival at Grace Tabernacle in Atwater, California. God has been visiting us each night! It is always a pleasure to be with these folks. Pastor Jared Burris and Sis. Valerie had added a new member to their family since last year. Little Grant is a cutie!! Emily, Little Jared and Gunner are super proud of the their little brother. They have a right to be proud!!!
I failed to post a something on Mothers day. I just want to say I have the best Mom in the world!! She is a jewel!! I love her with all my heart and I could never thank her enough for all she does! I also have an awesome Mamaw and Gran! I love and miss you both tons!
I have more good news to report on the Crafton Sisters. Callie is continuing to heal and recover from the wreck. And Bethany is now out of rehab!! They made it back home to Joplin, Missouri on Friday!!! They are glad to be home. Bethany is a miracle. Please help me pray that God continues to give her a speedy recovery.
We are looking forward to service tonight. Last night was awesome and it just keeps getting better! Odie

Hello from the beautiful state of California. We have had a wonderful few days. Let me see if I can give you some highlights. I last left you after a wonderful night in Round Rock, Texas. We spent all the next day driving. All but a few miles were in Texas. I was so thankful to hear Mom say “welcome to New Mexico!” Just to give you an idea of how big Texas really is. We fueled up at the state line on Friday then again on Sunday night at exit 0 on the state line of New Mexico. With the detour to Round Rock and the drive across the state, we had used 130 gallons of diesel just in Texas!
Compared to Sunday, Monday was a pretty easy day. We only had to travel a few hours to Tuscan, Arizona. The Christ Ambassadors Choir from the Riverdale Assembly was singing there on Monday night. We have been trying for a long time to see the Riverdale Choir when they are on tour. We were excited that our paths could cross this year!!! Bro Jim and Sis. Darla Davis do an awesome job with the choir. They sounded terrific the other night. If you get the opportunity to see them in action do it and you will be blessed!! For more info on them go HERE.
Since March of 2008, when we bought the BoggsMobile, Mom has said she would drive it in New Mexico. Well, Monday was the time. It was wide-open country. She drove for 69 miles from rest area to rest area. She did a wonderful job!! I am proud of her! Dad loved seeing what it was like to move around in the bus while it was moving down the road!! He walked around, laid on the bed, sit in the buddy seat and talked on the phone. He had a blast!!!
Tuesday we traveled and took care of business that needed to be done. Between business stops Dad was sweet enough to stop by Arizona Mills for a while! I love you Dad!!! Arizona Mills is home to JC Penny Outlet in Phoenix. I always like to visit there while in the area. I did find a few bargains.
We were at a mall so Mom and I had our eagle eyes out for an Auntie Anne’s Pretzels. It was so delicious, they were hot and fresh!! I am ready for another one right now. I e-mailed Dad a picture telling him where we were eating. It was not long before Mom’s phone rang. You guessed it; we stopped by Auntie Anne’s on the way out of the mall. Dad had caught the craving through the phone! LOL!!
We stopped at the other end of the valley in El Mirage in the afternoon. Dad had to get the front end of the old Jeep aligned and have some tires put on. He got a great deal on tires and alignment thanks to Bro. Carlos Zubia and Bro. Jason Fellers. We appreciate the help, guys.
We enjoyed the evening fellowshipping with Bro. Jorge and Sis. Mary Stevens. Several years ago Bro. Jorge got us hooked on burritos from Humbertos. So we HAD to have our taste buds satisfied while so close!! We will be back in a few weeks for more. We are looking forward to our revival at Desert Cove Assembly with Pastor Jimmy Munoz!
Now Wednesday is nearing its end. We have been on the road all day. We have stopped for the night since I have been writing this note. We are parked among the trucks at a Flying J ready to sleep.   It has been a long day! There were some tough driving conditions but Dad did a wonderful job!
I will try to get this Mile Marker posted tomorrow. (Thursday)
Only God know what all Thursday holds. Revival is scheduled to begin at Faith Chapel in Stockton, California. We are anxious to see what God has in store for the meeting. I am sure we will have a good time with Pastor Michael Brandon!!   Thanks for praying for us.   Odie

Thanks for responding to the Spirit too.  We sure enjoyed our short stay in Round Rock.
Our week in Pine Prairie went great as well. There were some awesome services that will not be forgotten for a while. Thank the Lord for his mighty visitation!!!
Thanks to Pastor Barry Gautreaux for all you kindness to our family. You all always treat the “Boggeauxs too good!! We are proud to call the folks at Pine Prairie Christian Tabernacle our friends!
I requested prayer last time for our Uncle Charles Isaacs. I wanted to let you know he departed from this life on Tuesday morning. Please remember Aunt Callie and all the family in your prayers! His funeral services are this weekend in Kentucky.
I do have some good news to report on my friend Bethany Crafton. She has now been moved to a rehabilitation center in Oklahoma City. Thank God for every step to a full recovery. Happy Belated birthday to Beth who turned 21 on the 28th!!!! You may send notes of encouragement to the Crafton Family at

Mile Marker: April 25th, 2009

Hello from the bayous of Louisiana! We are just pulling into Pine Prairie Christian Tabernacle. The BoggsMobile will be stationary here for the next few days. We are anticipating a great time with Pastor Barry Gautreaux and the wonderful folks in Pine Prairie.
Revival ended last night in Opp, Alabama. Everyone at Calvary Holiness Church was so kind to our family. The Lord came by each night with a special visit. Thank you again to Pastor David Sims and family for all you hospitality!!
We did make an whirlwind trip to Neosho, Missouri this past week. We attended the funeral of Carrie Kewer Vanzant. It was a amazing tribute to her life. She lived a life that was an inspiration to everyone who knew her! My heart is saddened by the loss of an awesome friend! But I am inspired to live life to it’s fullest! Carrie’s life is a reminder to let God be in the center of everything! Please remember all her family in prayer!!
Thank you to so many people who have let me know you are praying for me! Your kind and thoughtful words have meant a lot in the last several days! God has given me strength and comfort!
Bethany and Callie Crafton are making progress toward healing. Bethany is now out of ICU, Thank God! She is still in need of lots of prayer! Callie was released from the hospital a few days ago. She will be on crutches for a while.
I have another prayer request. This one is for our Uncle Charles Isaacs. He had a stroke and is not doing well. Please pray for him, Aunt Callie and all the family!
Well I must go, it is almost dinner time. Stuffed Chicken Thighs are on the menu for tonight, YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stop drooling or you are going to ruin your keyboard!    Odie

Carrie Ann (Kewer) Vanzant  September 2, 1985 - April 17, 2009

Friday afternoon our phones started ringing with the calls of a terrible automobile accident near New Castle, Oklahoma involving Don and Carrie Vanzant and Bethany and Callie Crafton. Don, Bethany, and Callie were all injured and taken to local hospitals. Carrie is now in Heaven waiting on the rest of us to get there. It still so unreal and it feels like a bad dream. I want to wake up and it all be gone.
You may remember eight months ago Don and Carrie “Kewer” were married. I went to Missouri for their wedding. Please pray for Carrie’s husband Don Vanzant along with his family and Bro. and Sis. Kewer and their family.
Carrie Ann Vanzant will be missed by everyone! She was a solid Christian that genuinely loved people. She was the life of the party. She definitely was a true friend to me!! It is hard to imagine life without her. She is just one more reason for me to make it to heaven.
Dad is trying to get enough internet signal to load a folder of pictures of Carrie as a tribute to her life. Hopefully you can see them now on our Picture page.
Also the Crafton Family need our prayers. Bethany and Callie both have multiple injuries. They are in Oklahoma City in the hospital.

The Rest of the News...

We had a wonderful week at New Hope Holiness. The presence of God was evident in each service! We always love being with the Pastor Tony Walker and family! The fellowship is full of laughs and good times!! Thank you all for everything!
Monday (the 13th) my Mamaw and Papaw made the long trip from Flordia to Ohio. It is time for them to come out of hibernation and face the coming summer. We drove to Valdosta, Georgia and met them for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. You know I am game anytime for some hugs from my Grandparents.
Monday afternoon we got the call that our long time friends Bro. Herman and Sis. Margaret Woods were in town to visit. We were glad to have them with us for a couple days!! Tuesday Mom and I tagged along with them to visit the Pebble Hill Plantation. Pebble Hill is just one of many plantations in the Thomasville area. It is an awesome thing to see! We had a great afternoon with Herman and Margaret! http://www.pebblehill.com
Currently we are near Opp, Alabama at Calvary Holiness Church. We have looked forward to a long time to our stay with Pastor David Sims and family. It got off to a good start yesterday. The Lord visited us in a wonderful way. Odie

Mile Marker: April 13th, 2009

   Hello from Thomasville, Georgia!
We have been having a good time lately! March 28th we were with Pastor Rick Simpson at Summit Holiness Church. There was a great turn out for the singing. Some were in the altar praying for salvation. That is always a wonderful thing to witness! From Millbrook, Alabama we headed to Jacksonville, Alabama.
God came to Charlie Penny Road Holiness Church on the very first service of revival! There was a sweet moving of the Holy Ghost; I think it was needed by everyone in attendance!!! We continued to have good services the rest of the meeting. Thank you to Pastor Roger Boyd and the entire congregation for everything!!
We made a one night stop at Trinity Holiness Church. It had been over 2 years since our last visit to Hokes Bluff, Alabama. It sure was good to see Pastor Steve Shaneyfelt and everyone there! “Mr. Steve.com” gets the job done! Sorry that is an inside joke I could not resist.
We then traveled to Fayetteville, Georgia. We had a great night of singing at Fellowship Baptist Tabernacle! Thank to Pastor Tony St. Cyr for inviting us to be with you all!!! We appreciate your kindness!
Revival just closed Friday night at Mt. Sinai Holiness Tabernacle in Dothan, Alabama. We had a wonderful week with Pastor Dewayne Watson. Bro. Dewayne and Sis. Bridget currently have three boys: Steven, Jonathan and Michael. In August they expecting a new addition to the family and all the signs say it’s a girl! We are so excited for them. I know little Miss Watson will be spoiled rotten!
Now the BoggsMobile is stationed at New Hope Holiness in Thomasville, Georgia. We celebrated Easter here yesterday as well as Homecoming! What a great time and meal we had. We kick off revival tonight. We are looking forward to a great week with Pastor Tony Walker and Family. I will give you the details at a later date.
   Odie

Mile Marker: April 4, 2009 (From Davy)

As I write this, we are near Jacksonville, Alabama with no internet service and barely any phone service. I hope to add this Mile Marker while we are in Georgia on Saturday.
We have had a great week here in Alabama and we are going to sing Saturday near Fayetteville, Georgia and then start revival Sunday morning in Dothan, Alabama. In Georgia we will be with the St. Cyrs and we can’t wait to see them. We are also looking forward to seeing lots of friends while we are in Dothan with Pastor Dewayne Watson and his fine church.
We have some exciting news concerning our planned trip to Nigeria that I would like to share with you. As most of you know Pastor Shobanke has invited us to return to Nigeria in West Africa this year and we have been trying to make preparations to go. One of the biggest hurdles in traveling to Nigeria is the cost of the airfare. It would cost close to $5,000 if we booked the tickets today. In the last few weeks a dear brother in a church where we were preaching revival told us that he was going to buy our tickets with the miles he earned as a frequent flyer. We were and still are totally overwhelmed by this brother’s thoughtfulness. We have been praising God for his kindness and generosity. That single gift makes an almost impossible trip possible.
We are so amazed how God orchestrates events and we are thankful that where God directs us to go He will always provide the way to do it. We are planning to leave for Nigeria toward the end of November and stay two weeks or so preaching a Ministers Conference and Gospel Crusade in Abeokuta and possibly other meetings in another city. Please pray for us as we plan and pray over the coming months.
We appreciate the prayers of God’s people. May God bless each of you!       Davy

 Mile Marker: March 20th, 2009

Hi again! Please don’t have a heart attack since I am writing twice in one week! Wow it is already Friday! Another week has flown by. It has been a wonderful week here in Ellisville Mississippi. God has continued to visit us nightly at First Assembly. I do not know how to describe it but to say it has been great. Also we are having great fellowship with Pastor Kenny and Sis. Joan Morris. Thank you all for everything!! We love you so much!
We are scheduled to load up in the BoggsMobile tomorrow morning and head to White Plains Assembly. It promises to be a good weekend. I want to remind you of recent schedule addition. Next Saturday March 28th we are looking forward to being in service with Pastor Rick Simpson. It will be so good to see everyone at Summit Holiness Church in Prattville, Alabama. Please join us if possible. I hope we will get to hear the Simpson Sisters sing!! They have a new recording coming out in a few days. It’s must have for your CD library!!!
I have a few special wishes to our family members: Happy Birthday today to my Uncle Steve Boggs, Happy Anniversary March 22nd to Uncle Tommy and Aunt Holly Boggs and Happy 6th Birthday to Morgan Rae Evans on the 26th. We love you all so very much!! I am proud to call you my family! I hope your special days are your best yet!
It is Friday but I have not yet went to bed for Thursday. LOL I must close for now. I have a full day ahead of me. I must get some shut eye before heading to the laundry mat. I think there is also some shopping in the plan for today. Have a wonderful weekend!     Odie

Mile Marker: March 18th, 2009

Hello from Ellisville, Mississippi! I have a lot of information to give you. God has met us here at First Assembly. We have been here since Sunday Morning with Pastor Kenny Morris . Each service has been very good. Monday night the Holy Ghost was there not only to encourage the church He also came to encourage our family!! Tuesday was a continuation of the previous service. Who knows what will happen next. I can not wait to find out.
We had an awesome week last week at the Allentown campmeeting! Once again we left encouraged from the word of God we heard. It was food for our souls. Dad really enjoyed getting to hear someone else preach for a change. He had not heard a message from another preacher since January 9th. Another great thing about campmeeting is the opportunity to visit with friends from all over the nation. It was good to see many of you and my eyes were sore looking for some of the rest of you!! Thank you to Pastor Eugene Futral and all the Pastors who make the meeting possible.
Before Allentown we visited our friends at Tanner Williams Holiness Church. Thank you to Pastor Donnie Williamson and the church at Tanner Williams for your friendship. We love you all!! God met us in both Sunday services that day. I believe he was preparing our hearts for the meeting ahead. We also attended the Monday night fellowship meeting at Tanner Williams. Bro. Lendell Birdsong from Oklahoma did a very good job preaching that night.
I think our last Mile Marker was from Richton, Mississippi. I want to thank everyone in the church at Richton. We had a wonderful week with Pastor Scott Morris and all the folks. As Dad told you we greatly enjoyed our visit with Bro. Scott, Sis Kim, Regan and Rylee. Yes, Sis Kim is one of our favorite cooks. Everything she fixes is out of this world good!!!!!!!!!
I know that I have made a big loop but we are back around to Ellisville, Mississippi. I will be sure to fill you in on the rest of our stay here with Bro. Kenny and Sis. Joan Morris. Odie

Mile Marker: March 4, 2009 (From Davy)

We are off to a good start here in Richton, Mississippi.  The services have been good with especially good altar services.   We have had lots of fellowship from local churches and that is always good.  Pastor Scott Morris and his wife Sis. Kim really know how to treat folks and we have been enjoying their fine hospitality and fellowship.  I am sure Odie will bring you up to date on the revival later.
When we arrived Saturday, the Riddells came over and we were able to visit with them for a couple of hours.  They were in revival an hour or so away.  It was so good to see David, Sonja, Justin and Kayla.  They have been dear friends of ours for many years and we love them dearly.
Allentown Campmeeting is next week and we are looking forward to it.  We always leave Allentown so encouraged by all the great preaching.  If you are any where around you ought to come and be a part of it.  I am sure you will be blessed.  We are planning to be there all week and soak it all in.
We have added over 400 pictures the last two days to the website.  Here is a LINK to see them.  Let us know what you think of the pictures.  We love to hear your comments.
Thanks for praying for us out hear on the road.  We certainly need God's help everyday.  May God Bless each of you!

Mile Marker: February 24th, 2009

Hello again! Our current location is still Purcell, Oklahoma. Although we have traveled a few hundred miles since my last update and I will explain that in a moment.
Things have been going good here. God is blessing in the revival at New Mission Holiness Church! We are thrilled to see God helping Pastor Steve Moore and congregation!! I don’t know how to describe the Sunday and Monday night services. They were sent from Heaven. We will be here through Wednesday night.
If it has been a while since your last visit to New Mission; I suggest you pay them another visit, They recently finished giving the sanctuary a face lift. Everything looks so beautiful!!
Speaking of remodeling, our friends at Bethany Revival Center just completed a huge make over to their sanctuary. God blessed Pastor John DiZazzo and the folks there in Wichita, Kansas with the building over twenty years ago. It had “gorgeous” orange carpet and chairs to match. Over the last few year they have been doing some updates whenever possible. They found some nice pews for the church, redid the parking lot and many more nice things. This year was the year of major change. The orange carpet is now gone, the platform is completely changed, they added a beautiful altar rail, painted, added Sunday School space, entry way and so much more. It looks awesome!! It looks like a completely different church. Although I must admit my heart is grieved because of the loss of the orange carpet because orange is my favorite color. But they replaced it with my second favorite color green.
We were invited to sing and preach in the dedication service on Sunday morning. We left Purcell Saturday night and arrived in Wichita around 1:00.  After a good nights sleep at the Best Western we were well rested and ready for service Sunday morning. Then the fun began...
Have you ever had to sneak into church? This was the first time I remember having to do it. Only a few people knew of our coming for the service. It was a surprise to the rest of the church. Sis. DiZazzo told the church she was going to do something different. She then asked her helpers to be seated and said welcome Davy, Kelly, and Odie Boggs. Bro. John opened the side door and we came in. I wish I could have registered the looks on each face. Dad was instantly swallowed up by hugs from the kids on the front row.  They were all definitely surprised and shocked!! It was great to be a part of it all!
We had a great service. Then we had a good meal at Hometown Buffet before hitting the road again. The jeep carried us safely back to New Mission in time to catch a few zzzzzzz’s and freshen up for the Sunday night service. It was a wonderful day!!
Monday was mostly a quiet day after our excitement filled Sunday. Who knows what Tuesday holds, but God? I will let you know at a later date.     Odie
Note From Davy:  We have lost two dear friends in the last few days and we would like for your to pray for their families.  Bro. Eason from Oliver Springs, TN and Sis. Garman from Hanford, CA have gone to their great reward.  They were both long time friends of ours and wonderful Christians.  I would appreciate it if you would hold our friends up in prayer.   Davy

Mile Marker: February 18th 2009

Good evening from Purcell, Oklahoma. We are having a wonderful time here at New Mission Holiness Church. Again this week we have had some great altar services. The Lord is definitely trying to minister to His people and their needs!
We have had some schedules updates. Make sure you check our calendar on the front page for the changes. We would love to see you in service in the near future. It seems like our schedule always changes right after we publish a newsletter. That is why we include the note: “These dates are subject to change like maybe, tomorrow.” It just goes to show you before coming to see us it would be a good idea to check our schedule page. Also you can give us a call to confirm the dates. We have also added some dates as well.
Things have been pretty calm around here lately.  Mom and I did start back on our diet Sunday. It has been four days and I have not starved to death. At times I feel a faint coming on though. LOL! My stomach was growling pretty loud by the end of service last night.
I trust you all are having a great week. I must go get ready for church.   Odie

Mile Marker: February 13th 2009

Hey it is Odie reporting again from the BoggsMobile in windy Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We are having a great revival at Calvary Holiness Church. Each service we have had good altar services. Faith seems to be the theme of the meeting. We have already heard testimonies of God moving in lives. Also the folks are remembering things God has done in the past! Sometimes it does the soul go to reminisce over answered prayers. I know it builds my faith! God is so awesome and it is wonderful that we get the privilege of calling Him Father.
He definitely watched over us this week. Tuesday afternoon there were several severe storms in the area. The storms produced some tornado warnings, several of which were for “Oklahoma” county where we are located. Thankfully none of them touched down on our side of town so we made it without any damage to our vehicles! We did take refuge in the block laundry room of the campground. Thanks to the storm chasers, we could tell we were going to be okay. I would not want to risk my life to report on storms, but I am thankful for those who do the job!!
We are nearing the halfway point of February. Already we have weathered an ice/snow storm and now a tornado. What is next? Hopefully not a hurricane or tsunami ! LOL
Wednesday we had the right windshield replaced. On the way home to Ohio for Christmas a truck flung a rock into the passenger side of the windshield! I was on the phone at the time. It sounded like we had been shot. Once again I thank the Lord for His hand of protection. It did not come through the windshield. Mom could have been hurt very badly!
On Thursday Mom and I managed to squeeze in some shopping. It does not take much to get me to head to the store. First we went to Sheplers where I bought a new pair of brown boots. I really needed to replace a badly worn pair. Next, we went to Cato and then Steinmart.  At Steinmart I bought a jacket for Easter. I’ll just say if you are in Thomasville, Georgia on Easter you will be able to find me. I will not be blending in with the crowd. I love it; the brighter the better!!!
I also worked on a Newsletter. I finished it up today and Mom took it to the Post Office.  On Saturday we head down the road to Purcell, Oklahoma. We are looking forward to being at New Mission Holiness Church with Pastor Steve Moore and congregation.
It is now the 14th and we are in Purcell. Hope you all have a nice week.
   Happy Valentine’s Day!!    Odie

Mile Marker: February 10th 2009

Hello, I am back! For the last several days we have not had enough signal to update the site. It would took me thirty-forty minutes just to check my e-mail. Dad went to library to update, but he could not connect to their wireless network. We have lots of pictures to be posted as soon as we come across a great connection speed.
During the last update we were in the middle of an ice storm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We did come through it just fine. It was nice to have a couple quiet days! Also we enjoyed visiting with Pastor Bill Parks and family. Thank you to the Parks family for all your hospitality! Thank the Lord, He sent the sun to help us be able to get out of there and head to Weir, Kansas on schedule.
This made our seventh January trip to Faith Tabernacle. Pastor James Family and the church make us feel like we are coming home each time!! Thank you all so much for everything! You all are so precious to our family. Thanks for your belief and support in our ministry!!! God came by each service in different ways to help His people! All good things have to come to an end but Faith Tabernacle is always a difficult place to say goodbye. We are always looking forward to the next time when we will see our friends.
The BoggsMobile hit the road late morning on Saturday. It was a relatively short trip to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We spent the afternoon getting settled into the campground where we are parked. In the evening Mom and Dad went to set up the sound equipment at the church. Revival kicked off Sunday morning with a bang. We are excited to see what God is doing in Midwest City, Oklahoma for Pastor Kenny Searcy and his congregation.
The weather is beautiful here this week with a little rain that they desperately need and some sunshine that I desperately need! Keep us in your prayers.    Odie

Mile Marker: January 25th and 26th, 2009

Hello, it is the BoggsMobile reporting in from the road again. As I write we are somewhere between Lawton and Tulsa, Oklahoma. So far the ride has been smooth, It has been an expensive ride . We have to travel mostly on toll roads, and five axels add up the cost. That is just part of being in Oklahoma; you almost have to pay a toll to go across the street. LOL
We are looking forward to being in Sunday service with Pastor Bill Parks and the congregation at The House of Prayer. It has been a while since our last visit with these fine people.
This week has been a good one for us. Dad and Mom are still trying to get over their colds. They have been able to sing a little more the last two nights. When one of us is sick we realize even more how much we work off of each other. When one voice is not at full potential we recognize it!
As I told you last time we have done a lot of moving this week. Wallville, Oklahoma was our resting place last time. The two services at The Wallville Free Holiness Church went very well. Thanks to Pastor Al Hunt and family for opening your doors to our family! Your friendship now and in the past is greatly appreciated!! I hope we were able to help them.
Thursday and Friday nights we had the privilege of being at Trinity Holiness Church in Waurika, Oklahoma with Pastor Matt Hunt. We love Bro. Matt, Sis. Kristy and Anna. Bro. Matt was saved at fourteen years old after Dad preached one night. He has always been good to us! After he and Kristy married they pastored in Idaho. We preached two revivals for them there. In 2006 Dad preached the first message Anna ever heard, or as he says “Anna ever slept through.” I think she was four days old. Now at two and a half she is a cute bundle of energy!
Thanks to Pastor Brandon Murray for allowing us to park at the Landmark Holiness Church in Lawton while preaching in Waurika. Saturday night we had a great time with everyone at Landmark Holiness.
Thanks to all the pastors who invited us to be in their churches. It was our honor to be with you! May God bless you abundantly for all you hospitality!! Also thank you to our many friends who visited our revivals this week. You were an encouragement to us and the churches!
We have a praise report!! The 2004 Kountry Star fifth wheel has sold! That is a huge answer to prayer. Thanks to all of you who helped us pray!! The 2004 Chevy is still for sale. If you would like more information on the truck drop Dad an e-mail. It is a great truck still with a long life ahead of it.    Odie
Since I didn’t get this posted yesterday I thought I would add a little more. We had two great services here at the House of Prayer on Sunday. It was a joy and encouragement to be here. Mom and I went to the laundry this morning (Monday) and by the time we returned it was beginning to get bad outside because of freezing rain. Looks like we will be stuck here for a day or two until the roads clear. We don’t start revival until Wednesday night in Weir, Kansas so we “should” be OK. We are in a great part of town with everything we could possibly need it isn’t such a bad place to “hunker down” as Dad says. I will try to let you know how it goes.    Odie

 Mile Marker: January 21, 2009

Hey to all my friends.  I hope your week is moving along smoothly. Moving seems to be our theme this week. The plan is to be in seven church services in six days at four different churches and cities this week.
Revival closed Sunday night at the Sterlington Holiness Tabernacle in Sterlington, Louisiana. I told you last time of the Thursday night service.  Well, Friday night turned out to be along the same theme. It was so incredible. God was speaking to His children reminding us of His soon return!! I want to be ready!! Thanks to our many friends who filled the church up Friday night. Your fellowship meant a lot to the Sterlington Tabernacle and us!
Saturday night was a rest night from the revival. There was a concert in the local area. Some of my favorite groups were performing that night so while Mom and Dad rested, some of us loaded up and went. We had a great time getting to hear some wonderful singing and funny stories! Appearing that night were The Arnolds, Talley Trio, Jeff & Sheri Easter, The Booth Brothers, Aaron Wilburn and Brian Free and Assurance. It was a tremendous line up of singers and all of us who went had a great time.
Sunday morning we came in ready to have church. God was there from the beginning! It was not a normal Sunday service. Dad preached to us of our need to win the lost. The Holy Ghost spoke and said something to the affect of they will come in, but I will use you. It was so precious feel Him so close. Honestly Sunday night I did not think we would get the service. God was still in the place so strong! He had a special message to the church to “Go Forward”. Dad’s message went along with what Bro. Boyd had felt God tell him earlier in the week.
Once the service was over we started packing up and saying our goodbyes.  Sterlington is a church that goodbyes can be difficult. They are a great congregation of people. They are led by an awesome Pastor, Bro. T.D. and his precious wife, Sis. Shea Boyd. They definitely have a heart for the folks they pastor!! It is awesome to see the church God has built there in 12 years. Their’s is a story of pioneering success. I am sure they have difficulties but they are victorious through Christ! Keep them in your prayers. They are in a building program. A lot of progress has been made but seeing the building unfinished at times can be discouraging. God is not through moving in Sterlington!! If I could put the revival into two words it would be “soul stirring.”
Thank you all for everything you did for us. Your hospitality to our family was overwhelming! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Monday night was a great night as well. We were traveling from Louisiana to Oklahoma. While on the road Monday Mom told me to get up, get ready and clean my area because we were stopping to see friends along the way. I was really dragging so she finally told me we would be in Tyler, Texas in a few minutes to see the Isaacs. You should have seen me kick into gear getting my self and my bunk presentable. We had a great visit with them that day. They were having a rare Monday night singing at a church in Tyler and we were passing through with a rare Monday night off. It worked out perfect. If you have never seen them live it would be worth a trip somewhere to see them. They never cease to amaze me with their talent. Yes, I know I am biased, but they are my favorites!! You can get to their schedule from our links and while you are there check their Gallery for my Tyler, Texas photos.
After the concert we traveled a few hours and slept the rest of the night at House of Prayer in Gainesville, Texas. Thanks to Bro. R.G. Logan for allowing us to pull in and sleep there!! I am glad I got to say hello to some of my friends in Gainesville! The rest of Tuesday we spent driving to Wallville, Oklahoma and preparing for the night service. Thanks to Pastor Al Hunt and family for inviting us to be back with you. We had a good service last night.
Please keep us in your prayers! All three of us have had head colds. Now my parents have chest colds and very little voice. They are not able to sing much at all and I need them BAD!! Mom has asthma so a chest cold is very rough for her to deal with. It is now Wednesday morning and I need to head to bed.       Odie.

Mile Marker: January 16th 2009

And we have been having a wonderful time of fellowship with Pastor T.D. Boyd and family! The Boyds are some of our favorite folks to be around. If laughter is a good medicine, then I have overdosed on medicine this week. I would not trade a minute of it.
God came by in a special way Thursday night. Pastor T.D. was fired up with hope and hopefully the rest of us got fired up too. He was encouraging us to be ready and anticipating the soon coming of our King!
I thought we were going to be in warmer weather in Louisiana! It has done went and turned winter here too. The lows have been 20’s or teens. That is COLD for here. It is still better than most places around the country!! Next we will be heading to Oklahoma.     Odie

We are alive here in Pine Prairie, Louisiana. For a while we wondered if the BoggsMobile could serve as an ark. It did nothing but rain from Saturday until Tuesday!! Getting parked here Saturday was an adventure, I think we were all relieved when it was done.
I do want to thanks the Lord for protecting us Saturday morning (the 3rd) while traveling. We came upon a terrible automobile accident moments after it happened. We were about six or seven vehicles back from the scene. Dad could not even distinguish the cars involved. The whole bridge looked like a junk pile! Thankfully we were able to get turned around in the road, and take a detour. Although over an hour was added to our travel time, we are thankful for our lives! We learned later two brothers were killed in the accident. Another brother and a truck driver were injured. The highway was closed for hours.
The Homecoming went great Sunday Morning! We enjoyed a delicious dinner and a fun time of singing in the afternoon. The Gautreaux's and the whole church are fine folks that we love very much.
We were privileged to meet an Isaacs fan Sunday. You know I am always looking for a fellow Isaacs lover. Ken drove all the way from Lake Charles, Louisiana to be in service with us. We are both members of the “Isaacs Insiders” on their website and he saw on our schedule we were coming to the area. Thanks, Ken, for making time to come see us! It was a pleasure meeting you!
We did not have service Monday or Tuesday night.  Monday I enjoyed a day in the motor home. I have a head cold, so a day inside felt good. Tuesday evening we went to eat with the Gautreaux. It is a little café that specializes in steak. It was awesome!!
Campmeeting started Wednesday night and went through Friday. We had a great time. Pastor T.D. Boyd of Sterlington, Louisiana preached the nights. It was a wonderful meeting.
In closing I want to extend our sympathies to the family of Brooklyn Faith Duraham from Bond, Kentucky. Brooklyn left this life for a better one January 2nd. I know she is now shouting on streets of gold. She will be greatly missed but her testimony will live forever!!! Brooklyn became everybody’s “Princess” you could not help but love her. She was an inspiration to me and she will forever encourage me to fight until the end!! Please remember those closest to her in your prayers!!!!
We are now in Sterlington, Louisiana in revival. I will give you a full report later.     Odie

Happy New Year!  We are doing fine in 2009. As I write this we are on the road to Louisiana. We are looking forward to Homecoming Sunday at Pine Prairie Christian Tabernacle.
I don’t know where to start to catch you up on the latest news. Dad told you the outcome of my hunting trip. But I am not giving up. I will try again next season! Thanks to my uncle Danny Morgan and Eric Meford for all your help!! I appreciate your hard work! I had a blast! We were way back in the woods! I loved every minute of it! Especially when the we saw several deer coming toward us. We were expecting them to come in a different spot . So were set up and ready to shoot in another direction. I was able to get the antlers of what we think was an 8 pointer in the scope, but I went to turn where I could get a shot they heard us and moved on. It was a most exciting experience. I can not imagine what I would have felt like if I had got him! Altogether we saw about 40 deer that day.
A funny thing happened the morning of the hunt. The alarm went off at 5:00AM. My cousin Courtney was trying to wake me up. I told her “I don’t need to go hunting. I already got one.” I had dreamed I had already shot a deer.
We had a great time with family and friends on Christmas. Christmas Eve we were in Hillsboro with Gran and Papaw and all the Morgan crew. The little ones made it a memorable time. I was able to spend a coupled days before Christmas with Gran and Papaw. I don’t get to always spend a lot of time with them.
Christmas Day we were with the Boggs family in Waynesville. As always we did too much eating, but my was it good!!!! We enjoyed being together as a family.
We usually have Christmas with the three of us on Christmas Morning. Due to some problems with the BoggsMobile we did not get to do it as planned. Dad and Papaw spent most of the day and several other days working on the motor home. Thank the Lord for helping them figure out the problem, and getting it fixed. During some frigid weather while we were away from the bus some things froze and busted, but things were not as bad as they could have been! Praise the Lord.
Revival began at Dryden Road December 28th. The Lord visited us this week. It is always special to see God blessing our home church!!! We had an awesome communion service on New Years Eve. Watch night is probably the most anticipated service of the year at Dryden Road!! Thanks to Bro. Bennie Sutherland and the church for everything! We love you!
I want to say thanks to all my family who put with me while we were home. Thanks to Mamaw and Papaw, Jay and Theresa, Danny and Jeanna, and Gran and Papaw. Also thanks to my cousin Lisa Isaacs for all the rides to church. Thank you to Jeff and Debbie Roberts for inviting us to your home Tuesday night. Leah, Thanks for letting my be apart of your sleepover!! I had a good time with you and the girls!
Thanks as well to the church at Dodds that allowed us to park there while we were in Ohio. That is a tremendous blessing!
Birthdays started again for our family the day after Christmas. December 26th Courtney Morgan turned 15. Six years ago today our family was blessed with Lucas James Osborn. Luke is a trip, he is a laugh a minute!! Happy birthday to both of them!
We are now parked at a WalMart in Jackson, Mississippi.  Dad drove over 735 miles today.
